Types of skip bins &
accepted waste types

Budget Waste Bin

For heavy waste only.
Only the following materials are accepted:

  • Concrete, bricks, soil, green waste, rocks, tiles, asphalt, rubble, stones
  • Grass, shrubs, small branches, leaves, palm fronds, wood chips, small tree trunks

Note: Due to weight restrictions on 6m³ budget bins, two 3m³ bins may be provided instead. If you’re unsure, give us a call before booking.

General Waste Bin

Ideal for everyday clean-ups, moving house, or light construction. Accepted materials include:

  • Household waste (scraps, appliances, furniture, general rubbish)
  • Garden and green waste
  • Office rubbish and cardboard
  • Light construction waste (gyprock, timber, plastic, metal)
  • Includes all Budget Bin materials

Asbestos Bin

For safe asbestos disposal.
The customer is responsible for the correct preparation:

  • Skip bins must be double-lined with 200um plastic and fully sealed with tape
  • 200um plastic is available at Bunnings
  • Incorrectly prepared bins will not be collected

Note: If fibro or asbestos is found in a general or budget bin without prior disclosure, disposal will be halted immediately. This may lead to legal consequences and additional charges. Always notify us before booking if asbestos is present.

Prohibited waste

To comply with waste handling regulations and keep disposal safe for everyone, the following items must not be placed in any skip bin:

  • Liquid Waste – including paint, oil, petrol, and chemicals
  • Gas Cylinders
  • Tyres
  • Batteries

HIRE DURATION
& PICKUP

Our standard hire period is 7 days. Early pickups are no problem, just let us know once your bin is full. There’s no price change for early collection.

The bin will be collected automatically 7 days after drop-off. You’ll receive a text reminder the day before.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I get same-day delivery?

Same-day or next-day delivery is often available, depending on demand. We recommend booking ahead where possible, but if you’re in a rush, call us and we’ll do our best to help.

How do I prepare for asbestos disposal?

If you’re disposing of asbestos, you must use a designated asbestos bin. It must be double-lined with 200um plastic and fully sealed before pickup. 200um plastic is available from hardware stores like Bunnings. Improperly prepared bins won’t be collected.

Where does the waste go?

We sort and process your waste at our own local transfer station. Wherever possible, materials are separated and recycled before final disposal. We aim to reduce landfill and manage waste responsibly every day.

What size skip bin do I need?

It depends on how much waste you’re planning to dispose of.
As a guide:

  • 2m³ is ideal for small clean-ups or garden waste
  • 4m³ to 6m³ suits general home renovations
  • 10m³ bins are great for larger jobs like building sites or full clear-outs
